It is a great place to learn about icf and history of Indian railways. Mechanical students can learn a a lot here. Children will enjoy it here . They will definitely enjoy it to their fullest. There is a small food court which serves great food. Entry is a very minimal 40 Rs for adults and 25 for children. It includes a refreshment( tea or buttermilk for Rs 10), one joy ride(Rs 15). It is a very underrated place. Great for a one time visit for adults and photograph lovers.

As I experienced here is, very peaceful place to see and know about the oldest inventions in locomotives and coaches. Also there is a joy train ride which rides through a coverage area. A clean and perfect museum for all the generations. Want to go again..

Good place for train lovers. Children will.love this place. You get nostalgic feeling seeing old train models and gallery. It's a one time visit place. Not crowded at all. You can easily spend 2 to 3hrs here. Children enjoy the toy train which takes people for 2 rounds. Charges are very nominal. For adults it's Rs40/- and for kids just Rs25/-. With that amount you can see all things here. There's a canteen, which provides good food to eat. Overall nice place in Chennai

Wonderful place for all ages to know.. Feeling Nostalgic.. Get amused by pictures.. The critical lagging part is facts about exhibits..
Amazing gallery.. Visited Ground Floor only.. Reserved first floor visit, track change experience (near toy train) for my next visit..

Excellent place to take your kids for a half day trip. They will really enjoy this different place. It gives good perspective of our Indian railways and capability of ICF.. At the same time, it brings a feel that ICF is underutilized and under rated to support private players.. Also this place is poorly maintained nowadays. This should be renovated properly.
