THIS IS MOST ANCIENT THEATER HALL AMONGST THE THEATERS IN INDIA,BECAME MORE FAMOUS STAGING, "KALLOL",BY THE THEN REPUTED ACTOR,DIRECTOR, "UTPAL DATTA",ACOMPANIED BY FAMOUS LIGHTING ENGINEER,"TAPAS SEN",(BOTH ARE NOW IN THERE HEAVENLY ABODE).
THEY PERFORMED LIGHTING MIRACLE ON STAGE.
NOW THOUGHRILY RENOVATED BY PRESENT GOVT. KEEPING ITS HERITAGE
STATUS VERY CAREFULLY and ADDED MODERN
FACILITIES.

This theature is too old famous as other theature like Star theature nandan kala mandir etc at calcutta.they renovate it before few years now its look gud...they showed regular prgrmmes here

Great place but the road Beadon Street(Dani Ghosh sarani) is not so broad.

It is a good theatre hall.. air conditioned hall with good seating arrangement. Participants can use both staircase and lift during the programme. But no push back seats available here.
