This is an interactive museum with 7 zones which display the evolution of mental health services in India, collaborations and achievements of the institute. A worthwhile visit.

A very good museum to appreciate and know about the history of NIMHANS. One can see how it grew in British times from a lunatic asylum to a hospital with research facilities and a deemed university. Has many different sections in the exhibition covering history, activities and facilities in nimhans.

The NIMHANS heritage museum provides very good information on how the institution came into being and evolved through it's inception. The museum has several pictures and posters detailing it's history.
