Geomatics, popularly known as Geo-Informatics refers to the mathematics, science and technology used to study spatial information. This multidisciplinary discipline integrates the acquisition, management, analysis, modelling and presentation of geo-spatial information forming a specialized branch of Planning and Information Technology (IT). M.Tech in Geomatics is a multi-disciplinary professional course which is unique and different from mainstream specializations. Geomatics offers latest space-based technology namely Remote Sensing, GIS, Database Management Systems, Programming languages, Photogrammetry, Navigation and Positioning Systems, GPS, LiDAR, Big-data, Web and Mobile GIS, Project Planning and Geo-visualization.
