I was in a hurry in my last day in Reykjavik.
There was only 1 hour before my pickup of the flybus to the Airport,
and I decided to go for a lunch in this restaurant which was recommended by a local tourist guide.
The waitresses were very efficient, and managed to bring me all the 3 course dishes of the lunch fixed menu within of half an hour.
The food was good, especially the shoulder of the lamb, and for Reykjavik the price was reasonable around 30$ for a lunch, so it was a good expreince before leaving Iceland on a full stomache.
Maybe the portions were slightly small than what I expected, but it was fine.
The place itself is a little bit touristy, since it is near to the tourist information center, and in a main street.

Dinner for two, we had dinner which was great and the service was very good.
Try the Icelandic platter for starters.
I had the Icelandic fish stew and my daughter had the salted cod both were excellent. I can highly recommend this place.

Pretty good food in a really cute setting that allows you to enjoy People watching in a busier part of Reykjavik. Like most things in Iceland, it's pricey - and like most places in Iceland, the service is great. Some decent Icelandic options available as well (highly recommend tourists to try local fare and traditional food - it's very good).

Definitely a nice place, but I have some things to say about it. First of all, the meal was served after 2 minutes since we ordered and in fact it was cold. Second, if the meal was served in 2 minutes, why we had to wait 20 minutes for the coffee? It doesn't make sense and also it was really bad. Moreover, the price compared to the service and quality wasn't worth it.

Fantastic meal and fantastic service! The lamb stew, fish stew and artic char were off-the-charts excellent, only surpassed by our waiter who took great care of us but politely and discreetly. This restaurant has an interesting history and old photographs in the dining area to illustrate. I also think you get more value for your money here, including the wine prices.
This place is definitely on my short list, I highly recommend you put it on yours.
