This is one of the worst restaurants in Budapest.
Unfriendly staff, items on the bill that we never ordered and only semi ok-ish food.
Avoid it if possible.

If you want to dring and eat cheap but don't care ablut the details this is good. Food; allright, nothing remarkable. Service; much room for improvement. Price; very good!

SCAM!!!
This was the last visit at this Restaurant. I come to Budapest for 6 years now and am a frequent customer to Patko Bandi but never in the whole time did they betray me- until today...
The blonde waitress didn't want to to her job. We (a group of 5) got a bill with 3000HUF to much on which we couldn't figure out why. So we've ordered the menu to look for the prices. It took the blonde waitress 10 minutes for 3 meters to bring the menu. Her face told us that she wasn't interested in in helping us or even in working there. As a customer I don't feel comfortable when the staff reacts annoyed when I ask for something in a very polite way.
So another 10 minutes later there was no reaction or question if she could help us. On the bill weren't the ordered things-there were only the prices without an explanation.
In the end we didn't want to argue with them and asked what one position of 1000HUF was for. She said that's the tip for her. When we told her that nowhere in the menu was a hint for a charge of 1000HUF as a tip she went away and acted astonished as if was usual.
Too bad that I went there 3days before and got a regular bill. In that case we as customers of course gave a tip for the friendly waiter. Good service leads to a good tip for the staff.
So all in all they did the tourist scam with us and lost 2 customers that told their friends to go there while being in Budapest.
If you read this I propose to look for another place if you don't want to be scamed.

They added wine to our bill even though we didn't order any wine. The food was tasty but barely warm. When we paid the waitress simply assumed the change is hers.

It is a nice place with really good prices. I also like their kitchen. The only bad point for me here was the staff. There aren't enough waiters. And that's why the service could be better.
