Stuttgart and its attractive experience region are among the most important economic locations in Europe and in addition have a great deal of potential for enchanting tourism attractions. In order to directly and effectively implement the interregional location, tourism and image promotion of the Stuttgart region, 32 communities have combined together under the roof of Region Stuttgart Marketing und Tourismus GmbH - as the official tourism partner of the Stuttgart region.
Together the location advantages as well as tourist activities and attractions are communicated in order to strengthen and expand upon the top position of the Stuttgart region in the European as well as world wide competition. The activities are especially concentrated in the five areas of city tourism, congresses and meetings, group trips, events and incentives. |

The main shopping street in Stuttgart is the Königsstrasse which starts at the main railway station (Hbf) and ends at the city centre (Stadtmitte). All the surrounding cities in Stuttgart region also have their respective shopping centres. Some of the well known shopping malls are:

| Climate |
Stuttgart's position at the centre of the European continent plays a major role in its summer and winter temperature extremes. Summers are warm with an an average temperature of 70F (20C), the hottest days falling in July and August. Winters last from December to March, the coldest month being January, with snow lasting for several days. |
