From what I have observed over many years, there is really no such thing as a US style strip club in Europe or Russia. The concept of a "Strip Club" is unique to the US, Mexico, and Canada. In general, the American Strip Club concept is mimicked but from what I can tell in my travels across Europe, the girls are mainly from Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and other Slavic countries. I would describe them as true gypsy's. As they are really gypsy's (and you can tell because they have the body of an Angel but the face of your uncle Bob), they don't understand how business is done in first world countries (and the owners of these establishments know better as well as I am about to describe).
Tonight I went to the place I am writing about. Entry was 10 Euro. Ok, fair enough. In the US, you'll also pay a cover charge (though not during the day normally). Drinks were reasonably priced also. Again, as it should be. There's a stage where the girls get up and dance.....again no problem. If you sit in the seat next to the stage I think you should tip the girls.....and they expect it. Again, I didn't have a problem with this. As there are no single one Euro bills, the club sells "fake dollars" which you must pay for with Euros. You can buy a fake dollar to tip the girl (in American fashion) by buying one of these tip dollars with a Euro. For those of you who don't know, the 5 Euro bill is the smallest paper denomination.
Here's the problem. To get a lap dance, there is no single 10 Euro price for a single song lap dance system and you don't pay after the dance. You must pay before. They use a 50 Euro system for a supposedly 9-10 minute dance. Alarm bells should have been going off in my head when I heard this.
In other words, you have to pony up 50 Euros up front before you even know what it is you purchased. Oh yes I tried to find out. I was caressed and told it would be intimate, and close.
So here's how they steal your money: You pay 50 Euro up front. The gypsy (they are not German) girl takes your money and pays the house immediately to gain access to a very private dance booth (but this doesn't matter as I am about to explain). So the house is paid up front. The girl takes you back to the private booth.....you are salivating.....she get's completely nude.....and that's where it goes downhill. Apparently, Gypsy's don't wash their a$$es. When she bent over in front of me, I got a whiff of Gypsy a$$ and almost hurled. Next, only after one song, she wanted a tip. Not only was Little Me hiding at this point, but I was shocked to hear she wanted a tip. What happened to the three song deal? Apparently that went out the window as soon as I paid my money. After I told her "NO" and that I had paid for three songs (9-10 minutes), she told me our time was over. I had just paid 50 Euro for a crappy single song lap dance with an a$$ smelling slavic gypsy.
So my recommendations are that for a drink, or to watch a dance on stage it's ok. But do NOT buy a lap dance. Hear me now and believe me later, you WILL BE screwed.
