Nice atmosphere, a little more relaxed than a beer hall. The staff were happy to work with minimal German or in English. All the meals we had were great, not to mention the beer!

No atmosphere, noting like Munich tradition. Just money machine. Got a new beer, with lipstick on the mug. Asked the waiter for a clean one. He said "does it taste anything different with the lipstick?!", wiped the lipstick with his finger an gave it to another table. Visitors of Munich and Munich people, please stay away from this place. We have much better to offer.

Despite it being THE place to spend an evening during the Starkbierfest, I would advise to bring patience with you as the service can be outrageous, even for Munich. But if you can get past it, you'll enjoy the good old Bavarian tradition. Definitely for groups. Don't hesitate to contact the staff if service is causing you trouble, they have proven very effective.
