Great location, clean room, the room is quiet. Love it!

Lifetime platinum guest at Starwood - 150 nights plus a year - every year the same at the 1 star le meridian- queuing for half an hour for breakfast - no professional management - they have an overflow room not opened - manager should be removed

This hotel is centrally located within the city in an upscale residential neighborhood. It's only an 8-10 minute walk from Central Station and close to many cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. It takes about a 15 minute walk to be right in the heart of the city center.
The decor and vibe is very chic and modern. Housekeeping does a wonderful job keeping our room and public areas clean. The room we stayed in was standard with a "city view." With a city view, depending what floor you're on, you see the rooftops of nearby buildings, which was OK for us. I believe the premium rooms are facing the harbor. Along with the design of the hotel, the rooms are very modern and contemporary. The bathroom was a nice size. I especially liked the shower with a curtain. Even that was stylish. I prefer a curtain because in most 4 & 5 star hotels, the shower/tub has a partial glass wall. Water spills out onto the bathroom floor and makes a mess. This was not the case in this bathroom. There was also sizeable storage space and a mini-fridge to store personal food items.
The fitness center is small but it does have your basics; cardio, weights, and machines. If it's busy and you like to stretch, there won't be that much room. It's located down a hallway off the lobby area.
The staff are great. Any interaction I had was pleasant and helpful. A BIG applause to them! On the downside, the wifi was bad. Maybe it was due to my room location. I had a very weak signal. Many times I lost my connection and had trouble reconnecting. The only way I was able to get reliable wifi was to walk to the seating area near the elevators on my floor or down to the lobby. After my first day, I went down to the front desk to see if they could have someone from the IT staff look into this. By the time I returned later in the afternoon there was a message on my TV from the IT Manager saying I needed to connect to the guest network and not the "fashion hotel" network. When I made my report to the front desk, I specifically said I was connected to the guest network so the message from the IT Manager was useless. I felt like no effort was made to check the network area in and around my room. It was this reason I did not rate the hotel a 5-star review.
If my travel plans take me back to Hamburg, I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again, despite the wifi issues.

We are here on a family trip with multiple rooms, adults, and kids (including a baby). They've been great to us, and everyone is having a lovely stay. The small children enjoyed the cookies and bathrobes left on their beds. Breakfast is high quality and with an amazing view to the city. All in all, a great hotel with excellent service.

Room was large with an even larger bathroom it seemed. Walk in shower and large TV. Location is just round the corner from a high Street and ten minutes to the main station. Location was perfect for me as I was working next door. There is an issue with traffic noise on the one side of the hotel if you are on a lower floor. Had an issue with the room type I was given which after I escalated was resolved within a few hours. Bar on the top floor is good with great views of the lake. Check in/out was efficient and the staff were helpful in advising me on local restaurants. TV lacks English language channels due to an issue with the signal being received. Everyone speaks English. I would return.
