Awesome museum with a lot of boats, tools weapons and cool stuff. It has 9 floors with so many things to see. I'm rating this with 4 stars because it lacks enough English explanations and the audio guide was always out of battery, even after we changed it for a new one.

Extremely interesting museum with 9 floors (or decks) to see with artifacts ranging from ancient remnants of simple canoes to the replicas of the most modern engines. The museum uses different media to tell the story of the maritime science. They also have a stunning collection of maritime art and renowned artists, like Aywazovsky. A must-see in Hamburg.

An incredibly large, comprehensive maritime museum. A large portion focuses on German maritime history but a lot of information is also offered on world maritime history. A very impressive collection which includes temporary exhibitions (currently a Chinese maritime exhibit). Family friendly and wheelchair accessible. 5/5 except the English exhibits are limited.

You'll be able to enjoy the Museum only if you speak German. Just 30% of the items showed has an explanation in English.
They should have inform us at the beginning.
