Great place for listening to jazz and improvised music. The concert hall sounds perfect. Familiar atmosphere, simple and cozy

The Loft is a legendary concert place for improvised music, especially Jazz. You have concerts several times a week and here you can see great concerts at affordable entrance fees below 10 Euros. The best European performers like Simon Nabatov or Nils Wogram and the new generation like Robert Landfermann, Pablo Held or Philip Zoubek perform on a regular basis.
Hans-Martin Müller, the owner is a well known musician from the classical domain as well, so if he is behind the bar he can tell you endless stories of hundreds great musicians who have been at the Loft so far. Here at the bar you also meet the musicians during the break and after the concert. You can talk to them and casually drown a few bottles of local Kölsch beer or best czech Pilsener at very friendly prices.
You will definitely enjoy you evening at the Loft and have a great time during the concert and after. If you are interested in contemporary Jazz this is the place to be, once you are in Cologne.
