It is a small museum with beautiful old carriages used by the last royal family or by Napoleon. You can visit it in 30 - 60 mins.

I was not expecting to be so blown away! These carriages are VERY well preserved. From the cloth seats to the crest of the owner. It's right across the street from the Palace of Versailles. It's a piece of history you rarely get a chance to see.

Small, but interesting museum. Also good with children. And it is even free.

Gallery of Coaches : Majestic coaches and small carriages for Marie-Antoinette's children, sedan chairs and sleds.
The collection of coaches in Versailles is not composed of travel vehicles, but consists of grand ceremonial Berlin Coaches. Each carriage tells a piece of French history through a dynastic or political event such as the wedding of Napoléon I, the baptism of the Duke of Bordeaux, the Consecration Coach of Charles X or the funeral chariot of Louis XVIII.
Recently restored, this collection of coaches, one of Europe’s most important, will be presented in a new, entirely redesigned space. Composed of two galleries, the exhibition space will expand over 1000m².
Free admission from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm, closed on Mondays.
From the Palace of Versailles, it's approximately 5 minutes on foot.

Also, Carriage Museum at Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte.
