Our first night in Paris and the best dinner ever.
We went back a few days later and the food was spectacular.
This restaurant has everything: fantastic food, good service and fine wine.
We will return, we love it!

A French bistro on the Michelin Guide, a cozy restaurant lined with wine bottles, Les Papilles left a lasting impression. For dinner, the chef prepares a single set menu – take it or leave it. We decided to take it. It was as if we willfully succumbed to the chef’s desires. I loved the fact that this was it; no choices, yet all unexpected goodness. The first surprise was a gazpacho and I have mentioned before that I am fond of a flavorful gazpacho. The main item on the menu was next;a succulent duck breast with roasted vegetables and potatoes. The sauce was more like a glaze and in my opinion that was the real star of the dish. Then came a slice of tangy cheese that was perfectly complemented by the jam reduction. As a finale, we had the panna cotta which successfully completed the whole meal. I was so satisfied with this hearty meal that on the way back from the bathroom, I caught a glimpse of the kitchen. I was lucky that the door was open in that instance and when I saw the chef I could not stop myself from complementing him on his skills. I won’t forget this restaurant that “forces” you to eat what they want for dinner, in a good way of course.

Excellent for our first night. The predetermined courses were amazing and the recommended wine paired wonderfully

I came here for my 30th birthday dinner while on vacation in Paris. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I've never been to a restaurant where there wasn't a menu but actually a set 4 course meal for the night. Everything was timed perfectly, the server made an excellent wine pairing with the meal, and the waitstaff and management were amazing. The entire experience was perfect. We almost didn't get in because we didn't make a reservation before hand, so make sure to do so! They get booked up quickly and understandably so. I can not rave enough about their carrot soup and their chicken and pasta with pesto sauce. The atmosphere is very mellow yet great for a date night or for a nice dinner. Highly recommend it.

My husband and I visited Les Papilles solely off trip advisor reviews. Therefore I feel compelled to review. This restaurant did require advance reservations, and then you must call the morning of the reservation to confirm. Not an easy feat if you're traveling internationally without a data plan. It's a prefix menu, and the carrot soup we had as a starter was out of this world amazing. The chicken/pasta for the main course was dry but satisfying. The dessert was a custard with pineapple and a smoked caramel foam, only the foam had condensed to a syrup and made the dessert very bitter/overly smoky. The host had offered us a bottle of wine with dinner and stated: "it is not more than the normal cost." I admit it is ignorant not to double check, but our final bill was over $120 euros (for x2 meals and x1 bottle of wine) b/c we would never assume the wine alone was 45 euros. They had also charged us for x2 coffees (which we did not order) and this was written in shorthand on the bill. If we had not been cheated multiple other times in Paris on our bills, we wouldn't have asked and they would have gotten away with 8 euros more. Moral of the story is that this restaurant is similar to others in Paris, decent food, but may try to optimize on the language barrier and unsuspecting tourist.
