MICE! + Tourist Trap! Seriously, a mouse came out during peak lunch hour and had a snack while I was eating my horrible, over-priced lunch.
I had a the steak with shallots, and it was super chewy and flavorless. It costs 18 Euro , which at the time of writing is about $20. My wife had the ravioli, which was equally over priced and bland. Besides the horrible food, they also have a mouse problem. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress, she didn't care at all and acted like it was no big deal, then proceeded to charge me full price for our terrible lunch. It's a tourist trap, which is especially sad given that it is housed inside the Louvre. Most restaurants inside of museums are generally pretty decent, but the Louvre should do themselves a favor and close this restaurant before it negatively affects the museums.

Food was good but a bit pricy. The waiters seemed arrogant. After telling them what we wanted to eat they tried to convince us to order a menu instead (way more expensive). When we asked for the check they billed us for a bottle of water which we ordered but they just forgot to bring. The waiter did not apologize just raised his shoulder and said okay.

Mediocre food and overpriced. Only go here if you're at the Louvre for the day and don't want to go far for lunch.

Possibly the best meal, I've had in Paris yet!

(MOUSE INSIDE RESTAURANT) My wife and I were sitting in front of this restaurant having a cup of coffee after our afternoon visit to the Louvre. The entrance to this restaurant has glass doors so we could see right into Le Grand even though it was closed to the public. I am the first to see the mouse on the floor of the restaurant running under the tables and chairs. We watch as the employees (we saw three) go back and forth from the kitchen, register, bar area seemingly unaware of this mouse for a good 15 minutes. We finally go to the glass door and knock to get an employee's attention. We finally get a female employee to look over and we point her towards the mouse on the floor. She rolls her eyes and goes back to her paperwork. Assuming she didn't understand, we keep knocking to get someone's attention again. Finally a male employee looks over at us, notices the mouse that is still running around and looks back up at us to smile and give us a two thumbs up.
Please note, that we did not eat here and that this is just a review of our experience with their staff and restaurant sanitation.
