We joined a historic tour, in English, last Saturday. Well detailed and very interesting thanks to our guide, full of knowledge. Recommended to enroll online. Good value for money!

Yes the tourism centre is in the cathedral. Ask for "use-it" map it's a map of things to do in lille (daytime & nighttime) put together by locals

Very helpful, lots of info on local events. Go upstairs to look at the Chappel also.
Be sure to ask for a copy of Le Chti.
And FREE toilets upstairs! A rare find in Lille.
