Ok-level, standard rooms and bathroom. Everything with a slightly brutalistic vintage feeling. Breakfast was the best. Nothing extravagant but very good quality in the food.

Hotel staff are friendly, and the hotel is located quite centrally with easy access to shops and sightseeing. Unfortunately the rooms are a bit shabby and run down. Breakfast is pretty good though.

The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathroom were huge and not difficult to figure out, shower wise. The hotel staff was very friendly and patient. Love love love it. The wifi signal was amazing as well. Will come back.

The air conditioner didn't cool in one room, but I have a different room and it's cooling. I spoke to the front desk about the one that wasn't working and he said "He asked his technician to look at it." It had been over 10 hours and nothing changed.
The cooling wasn't that bad though because it was still cool outside so I opened the window. If you come in summer, just know it might be a problem. Europe doesn't seem to like air conditioning. We Americans are the ones who go crazy with A/C.
The bathroom lock gets stuck so watch out for that.
Otherwise, staff was super nice, bilingual, they helped me when my mom was hospitalized. They let me keep my luggage down stairs while I was checked out and I walked to the hospital without having to lug around two luggages, a backpack, my purse, and a carryon.

I stayed for 4 nights in Mercure Hotel Bordeaux Centre in February 2017 on a business trip. Hotel is about 20 minutes walking away from the river side. There is a tram station nearby. Breakfast was delicious. You can try different French tastes. My room was not so big or too small. There was a small complimentary water in room for each day.
