Discounts Prague Hostel has a good price, nice staff. The huge problem is the buildibg itself, the bathrooms are disgusting most of the time, the location it's not so great. Plus, the building it's hidden behind a couple of trees which nobody cares about, you have to bend your head to enter the building. Not to say that the dorms are quite small, at least the room in which I stayed with another 4 people. But I can't complain too much because the price is quite low for Prague. It's ok for 1 or 2 nights, even though I would reccomend you to choose something else if your budget allows you to.

Despite obvious shortcomings for XXI century west European standards, it remains that everything works, staff is helpful and it's value for money. It's "Soviet style", basic, working but not dirty at all was not issue. Difficult to find without GPS (could be improved). When found, situated in calm district with villas and embassies. 50% full or 50% empty glass depending on mood of traveler. Be aware on late checkout system. I will come back there with pleasure. Hope this point of view to be helpful. Will remember the full blossoming lilies in this street. Really pleasant.

Reviews from previous visitors mentioned remarks about friendly staff and issues regarding cleanliness and hygiene. The friendly staff is unfortunately the only good thing I can mention about my experience. The room we had was unfortunately dirty and looked like it was not vacuumed in a loooong while, with bunches of hair from more than one person on the floor, our bedding and in the bathroom - witch happened to be slightly larger that the WC on an airplane. The breakfast area was untidy and I had to clear and clean my own table. It got a bit much for us and we decided to check out the next morning, even though we booked for 3 nights. These guys do 'discounts' very good...
