This is a tough one. I've had some of the best Mexican food in odd places like Thailand and China, so I hoped this would be another of those great experiences. While the food was quite good, the experience was horrible. We had a reservation and were sat quickly, which was nice. We were able to get a drink order in quickly, and our drinks came out fairly quick as well. That's where the good service ended.
After having ordered our food, we waited about 30 minutes, seeing only one of the eight or so occupied tables outside get any food. We had ordered right after them, so surely we would get our food soon, right? Wrong! After almost another half hour of waiting, and my wife almost ready to kill me (hangry), we finally were able to get someone's attention only by going inside to the bar. They told us that their order printer had broken and caused problems. I was in disbelief. Your order printer broke? Could you not, you know, maybe, use a pen and paper to write the order down and take it to the kitchen? I have a strong feeling that it was just an excuse.
They did apologize and said our food would be out soon. After about 10 minutes my wife went in and ordered some more drinks because yet again there was no service to be found. The drinks did arrive quickly and with some chips and salsa.
I don't recall how long it was after that, 10 minutes? 15? and our food finally came out. The food was indeed tasty, but it was not worth the wait or the experience. In the end, the restaurant did comp us the last two drinks and the chips, but it was a step too short and too late for this experience to improve. I would not come here again.

It's hard to judge Mexican restaurants when you are Mexican. Not the best but not bad tasting food at all. The establishment is very clean and the staff very friendly. My husband loves that they have Coronas here! Very comparable to what Europeans interpret as Mexican style cooking.
