Kinda of cool. Don't go on the weekends! The writers leave early and there aren't many to choose from.
I went on Saturday to have them write a poem in Spanish for her with her there. Unfortunately for me, there were three writers and they all told me that they do not write my type of letters. Furthermore, I ended up finding out that there is only ONE "poet" or writer there on the weekdays for that sort of thing. His number is #18.
Hopefully you have better luck. Total romantic fail for me!
The statues are kinda cool. There are a couple (I think four) to take pictures with. My recommendation: don't go out of your way to check this parque out. Go see the hustle and bustle of the flea market close by
