Super nice hotel with spring bath. Up in the half hill, air is good and very relaxing. Room are big and comfy.

Hotel - Well made hot springs hotel, with good restaurants inside and hot springs inside the room as well as an outside garden. Courteous staff made the entire experience very pleasant.

Absolutely wonderful place for afternoon tea. Period. It was our buddy day after 5 months away from Taipei. And this was the new place of our choice. Pleasantly surprised by this little hotel in BeiTou. The snacks were tasty and adequate volume. We did ordered the extra Beef Noddle since all four of us were hungry. It, too, was delicious. We had a wonderful time together here. 🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘🍎🍎🍎😍😍😍

The hotel was very comfortable in terms of cleanliness, decor, design, bed and spa lounge.
For this standard of hotel, the review would be expect more than the less hotels. Therefore, attention to detail is as important as the general packaging. Areas of improvement would be, having correct title for Miss Chung instead of Mr Chung on the welcome card.
I thought the questions in regards to dietary needs would be used when we dine at breakfast, but the answers of no red meat was not mentioned on both mornings.
The main reason for booking Gaia was for the thermal pool to massage aching muscles and use of the hot spring.
Unfortunately, the temperature of the thermal pool was too cold for November season, which was a shame as we could not stay for more than 2 minutes in the water. The outdoor hot spring was not comfortable enough to fully relax, due to the water came to my mouth when i sat down in the pool, and the couple of rocks in the pool meant I could not lean back to rest.
The other reason why I booked Gaia hotel, was for the gym but the space is too dim and the TV was not working. I did not feel a sense of ease there with the low ceiling and dark lighting so myself and my mother left after 15 minutes. Needed to go to spa to find someone to open the gym door by code, feel this is unnecessary or a more easier and welcoming way is needed.
The safe was not working on arrival but impressed it was fixed by the time we returned to our room. Unfortunately the luggage was left untidy in our room and we felt we should not have to put out luggage back to it's original tidy place. We are not sure who did this.
Our personal preference is lights which have the option to dim, so we have a brighter bedroom when we are not watching TV.
The good points are:
We felt very looked after, the staff were welcoming and polite.
The beds were extremely comfortable.
Breakfast and the service from the staff were brilliant with good choice of food.
Attention to detail and courteous manners from most staff. (Maybe less paid staff need more training in letting customer go first in the corridor)
Shuttle bus was on time and helpful to by elderly mother.
On the whole I would recommend this hotel.
