I'd been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for quite a while. I'd read good things about the owners and the remodeling project that had been completed. The bar was pleasant, the waitress rude, the food mediocre. I had a reuben with clam chowder and my sweetie had fish and chips. The sandwich was bland, the clam chowder very watery with not much content, aside from the broth. The menu said "Best Fish & Chips in Town." My sweetie said the fish and chips were sub-par, small portion and expensive for what he got (he's a fish & chip connoisseur). No one came to see if our order was okay or if we wanted anything else. I had to walk around the nearly empty bar (about 5 people were there) to find the waitress for another drink. Regarding my order, I made a few special requests for my sandwich (sauerkraut on the side, no mustard and sourdough bread instead of rye). The waitress then asked me if I was really having a reuben sandwich; the question carried no humor. When we got our bill, beside my special request, the waitress had typed "sorry" to the kitchen. I suppose it's because they had to endure the heavy burden of using different bread, not adding mustard, and placing the sauerkraut on the side :o( I don't know how they made it through the day with such overwhelming responsibilities. We won't return.

The waitress took our order but then forgot about us. I wanted to take off but we ended up staying. It was unfortunate as our food was terrible.

I like the way they have remodeled. But does the wall interfere, with seeing the customers. Gave them a good review a couple weeks ago. But last Saturday, was a disappointment. We were ignored, waiting for a drink at the window table. Bartender looked right at us, but never came over. Waitress was on opposite side of wall, cleaning table's, I think. But passed us three times n never acknowledged us. They apologized later, n paid for our two drinks. But customer service is no.1, don't make that mistake to often guys.

Didn't look like much from the street, but glad I stopped in. Totally pleasant experience and I've been back a few times since. Very good fish & chips, burgers, salads, and specials. The owners may be still working on the interior decoration but the kitchen is up to speed and turning out quality food.
