Cannot recommend due to management's response to our concerns and the poor quality food.
I ate here last month on Sunday, Sept 3rd. Our server was new, as is the restaurant, and we felt somewhat sorry for her because she had little help and seemed to be rushing to work most of the tables while the second server took her sweet time. Although slow service would have been an issue, we weren't in a rush.
The problem was with the food and the way the manager dealt with our complaint. Brisket is heavily featured on the menu, as it is in four entrees, so of course we wanted to order some. We ordered the Beef Brisket Plate and the Sausage Plate, both of which came with two sides, with the intention of sharing the mains. The server said they were completely out of brisket. It was still afternoon and very odd that they would run out of the main ingredient on their menu by failing to plan ahead for the long weekend, despite them not being very busy in comparison to other restaurants on Marine Drive, where were the servers and the brisket?
To replace my brisket I ordered Down to the Bone Ribs. Despite the sauce being flavorful, the ribs were beyond dry and inedible. After having one bone from the full rack, I asked the server to replace it with another rack because it was just too dry. She returned minutes later saying that the cook said any replacement would be just as dry because the ribs had been pre-cooked too much and when heated again, the same dry result would occur. So I order the Pulled Pork Plate. It was the worst pulled pork I've ever had, it was surprisingly dry and the peach BBQ sauce was off-putting. Before moving here I lived in the southern U.S. for a decade and know what great pulled pork should taste like. But at least it was edible and I ate about half of it.
So we get the bill and the ribs had not been removed. Unfortunately, I mistakenly paid the bill before speaking with management. Surely they weren't going to charge me for something that I sent back uneaten because it was too dry, something that the cook admitted was due to the prep cook having over cooked the ribs. The server came back and said that the manager had "declined" our request to have the ribs removed from the bill.
So this restaurant manager would rather keep $20 for returned dry ribs instead of offering decent customer service?
Despite it being an otherwise horrible dining experience consisting of slow service, and four menu items missing due to lack of inventory, prior to the manager's decision to choose $20 over customer service, we were planning to return because we genuinely wanted to try the brisket and we enjoyed the brussel sprouts so much we thought there was a 50/50 chance of it being good. To date I've told this story at least seven times to my colleagues and to people we met while visiting in the interior who were planning to visit White Rock. With so many other choices, I would never recommend such a restaurant.

B.E.A.C.H the acronym, is a pleasant surprise on Marine Drive. This NEW, up-and-coming restaurant has very good food and for me it's about the new experiences and not the same old. The kitchen has an excellent chef that actually came by and asked "how was your meal". Good job and we will be back. Thanks .....

Stopped in on a Saturday night....fantastic reggae band, great vibe and waitresses were really cool and friendly. Perfect for a warm Irie summer night....you'll feel like your in the islands. Cool spot
