Came here for my birthday after hearing rave reviews about this place. The service was on point.. But the food was worse than Boston Pizza. Overpriced for what it was. I ordered the 6oz steak medium rare, it came out fully cooked. They remade it, cooked it the way I asked but the steak was so dry. My friends had both ordered the risotto, it was uncooked. Server told us that the way the Italians liked it, we sent it back to be cooked fully. Risotto came back and it was a salt bomb. We sent it back and was recommended the fish.. It was bland. No point in ordering another dish as everyone had already finished their meals. In the end they tried to charge me for 2 steaks instead of 1. I would probably not come back here nor would I recommend this place to others.

. There was a pretty good selection of dishes available, and the quality and presentation was very good indeed. their sea scallops were superbly fresh and this a winner for me, some dishes are good too... Service we got was great from all the staff, - friendly & accommodating. We shall definitely back.

Don't be put off by it's location in the Four Seasons hotel Vancouver. Even though it is in a large, tall ceiling room, YEW pulls off a cozy, comfortable feel and atmosphere. Service was relaxed. The wait staff were attentive and well informed regarding the menu. Tried the Calamari appetizer which was not the usual deep fried variety - simply amazing - and the Halibut which was perfectly cooked and well presented. Next time back, I will try some of the featured cocktails.

Dining at YEW Seafood was fantastic. The quality of food was amazing - full of flavor and unique. The service was a cut above and defiantly made us feel like valued customers. For the dining experience we had, we would expect to pay more than we did - value is outstanding. The decor in the dining area is modern with music played at a reasonable volume. While wearing jeans and a t-shirt I did feel slightly under dress compared to some guests, however, this is a family environment with multiple families with young children enjoying a meal during our visit.
