Ordered the Veggie Combo 1 to go and the avocados are black and taste bad. The cucumber rolls also taste old.

I have been there many times in the past 7 years, although we had a terrible service about a year ago, when we went there as a group, then we decide to take a break off them, then the bad waiteress was not working there anymore, we saw her at a different sushi place,same horrible behavior, so we decided as a group to visit Sushiyama again after the renovations/reopening, not only that the food quality changed for worst but also that horrible waiteress was back and all the nice staff was gone, and on top of it she is running the waiteress, the worst ever, we all decided that we would never go back. Food was ok but not like before far from it. I m sorry but this place is 👎

The food is really good, but the service is iffy. Sometimes we get ignored, barely acknowledged. . Other times the staff is really friendly.
The place is really small so don't expect to get a table right away for a larger group.
Also don't bother calling them for anything. They either don't answer or they don't understand you or vice versa.
Only reason we go back is the good food.

Great quick sushi. On the higher end of quality! They are closed between 330 and 430. Kudos to the business for giving their staff a break. They definitely deserve it! I ordered the beef Sukiyaki Don and it was just missing a little bit of the sauce and the crunchy tempura bits this time. They were on a break so I didn't want to disrupt them (break time is sacred to the restaurant staff. It's very rare it happens unless you close the restaurant!). I'm so great full they allowed me to sit and eat my food with them. I'm going to come back next week after my finals are over to give them another try. It could've been an off day. Still 5 stars though even with the mishap because I know next time will be super good. I was able to get a bit of the sauce on the way out 👍👍👍
