I went to Runway Hair Studio for a haircut and subtle balayage colour, who booked in me for an appointment same day as my call, and the experience was wonderful. The Team at Runway Hair Studio are a very professional, yet close-knit, fun-loving, warm and friendly group of talent, which is rare to find. I arrived at my appointment about five minutes in, and was welcomed by Manuela who, with Angelo, looked after me throughout the entire process. I didn't see Angelo until thirty minutes in or so, but given a busy and lively studio environment and being a Saturday, it was not unexpected as they take the time that is needed with their clients, which to me, was a positive aspect. Typically having multiple treatments or services done can block out a couple to a few hours, and for a person like myself with lots of long, dry, curly hair, it took a solid three and a half hours from the walk in to the walk out. Despite this, I would say it went by like a breeze as they were attentive and engaged and didn't make the stay feel long or drawn out at all! In fact, it was actually fun getting to know them in the process. I would recommend planning your day around your appointment accordingly, and blocking out the time.
Angelo, the Owner/Artistic Director, really listened, from a technical and emotional point of view, to what I seeking in terms of level of "change of look" and the subtlety of colour and angling of the asymmetrical cut that I desired, while retaining *length*! He explained clearly what to expect and what not to expect in the result, and had the perfect balance of executing from his professional vision and my desired aspects. His special flare in cutting and colouring definitely showed through and I am very happy with the result! Manuela styled my hair with Angelo (it was a lot of hair to go through) and was caring, attentive and had the most gentle touch with my hair. Overall a great experience that I look forward to again in the near future in the regular! Thank you Runway, and see you soon! :)

I highly recommend Angelo and Runway Hair Studio. He listens to your concerns/ goals and delivers first rate colour and cut. Professional and caring. The entire staff is friendly and helpful.

Great service and top quality. Angelo did my colouring and hair extensions twice while I was visiting Toronto. I got also a kick-ass haircut from Mario. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Happened to find this hair salon by a friend recommendation. Already had tape-in extensions on and needed to take them out and put them back again. Angelo was very experienced and knowledgeable about extensions and hair in general. The visit was fast and that's great because of my busy schedule. I would definitely recommend Angelo and Runway Hair Studio for extensions or any other service in general. Atmosphere was welcoming and all staff was also great.

Having read the amazing comments and the rating, I went to this salon for the first time last month for haircut and color. I left the salon real happy with a promise of better price from Angelo for my next visit, which would be haircut and only roots touch-up. So I called back this month to learn "the better price" and book my appointment. First I was given the same price as last month. When I said so, they promised me to call back upon checking with Angelo. No one called. I was passing by the salon later in the day. I optimistically went in and asked again, only to find out my call wasn't only totally ignored and forgotten, but I also received the same price again with no "sorry, we meant to call you" or no welcoming attempt of any sort. They must be too busy, I guess. So back to my search in the neighborhood. 😏
