My grandma was diagnosed with lung cancer at this hospital approximately 5.5 years ago.
The hospital from detection to surgery was less than one month.
The care from the beginning to end has been amazing.
Thank you to all the staff at the hospital and of course Dr. Safieddine

Had a day surgery done yesterday and couldn't believe how rude, insensitive and physically rough I was treated by SOME of the nursing staff. Was treated horribly both pre and even worse post op. They did not care how much pain I was in, my mother was with me and even two male staff were laughing smirking becuse I was crying from pain until my mom took my phone and went to take pictures of them. A couple of the nursing staff were very nice and compassionate and I repeatedly thanked them.
My surgeon was incredible it's too bad that he does his surgeries out of such a horrible hospital. When I mentioning the amount of pain I was in they treated me as if I was only seeking narcotics. When there is nothing on my record of ever having an addiction issue. It was insulting and degrading not to mention humiliating.
If possible avoid this hospital at all costs worst hospital experience I have ever had. Human resources needs to deal with their staff

All my experiences at the TEGH were very good. Staff and doctors really seem to care and always try to attend in a timely manner.
My daughter was born here and also my experiences at the emergency, fracture clinic and hand clinic make me very comfortable being taken care of in this hospital.

After all the reviews I had seen on here negatively communicating about their experience and service expectations; I was a bit nervous to come here. When I arrived,I was almost immediately taken into triage and registration; and sent off to the nurses desk. I did, however, strongly enforce the fact that I had got poor service at a previous hospital just days before going here; so like reverse psychology it can almost be expected that they want to live up to a better name\standard.
Overall the experience was quite welcoming and SOMEWHAT efficient as I overheard scattered management between the nurses. One did stand out, Christie Anne (sp?); she was really communicative with all her patients and although her face looked so tired and haggard like a zombie she drove a spike of energy to most people.
All this being said, I'm going to leave this a 3 star in lieu of my next future visit. We will see

I have had to go to emergency here twice. I will list both experiences below.
1- First time around 4 AM with chest pain, the initial checkup was quick, they did an ECG and took blood within 10 minutes after arrival. Then we waited one hour and were called in for another ECG, after which we were sent to the green zone, where we spent 4 hours waiting! every one who came after me into the green zone was attended to because the complained of waiting. I tried to be more civil and was ignored, until I did what others were doing and then was eventually visited by a doctor, who asked for another ECG and then left, I waited another hour before asking for to doctor and was sent to yellow zone because the doctor had forgotten about it! waited there an hour and had to ask for the doctor again before they'd let him tell me that I can go home - All that time that I occupied hospital resources could have been spent on some one who was in dire need had they just let me see the doctor quickly.
The followup by the heart clinic however was great. Dr Levitt gave me detailed attention in three followup visits and was very kind. Thumbs up to him!
Second time I had to bring some one with a fracture to the emergency; we were sent to the yellow zone and again, every one who came there after us were looked at before us because they kept complaining, once I followed suit ( after waiting for 3.5 hours) we were looked at too, the doctor asked the nurse to attend to the fracture - which to me was odd, but may be that's how its done everywhere, bottom line is i'll be looking at other hospitals for service next time if possible
