On a recent short visit to Regina, my husband and I stopped by for the all you can eat Tuesday fish and chips special.
The fish was crispy and tasty although just a bit under- cooked with a couple of the filets. Another minute in the fryer would have made them perfect.
Chips were nothing special, homemade fries would have been appreciated but these definitely were not.
On the plus side, the coleslaw was excellent.😊 And I'm a big fan of coleslaw with fish and chips, something too often lacking in restaurants like this.
Our server was ok but she did seem rather forgetful and got quite cranky when we asked for clean plates, when we made the "mistake" of stacking the ones we had previously used with our first round! Come on...that's no way to react to a simple and reasonable customer request.
Overall, would rate food at 4 out of 5😂 but service only 2.5.😣 And service means so much in a competitive market like Regina.
Helpful votes most appreciated. :-)

The Joey's famous fish was quite bland, with only tartar sauce as any real flavouring. The all you can eat tacos use Joey's famous fish and came with unlimited sides of fries and coleslaw.

The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The cook was smiling and you could tell he took pride in his job! Excellent place, excellent staff and excellent food! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Ordered the Cod Combo which was spicy cod and Cajun shrimp with coleslaw and garlic mashed potatoes on the side.
The Cod was perfectly cooked and the spices were very nice but not overwhelmingly spicy, same with the shrimp.
The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and very tasty and the coleslaw was great but I added more pepper because I like it a bit more spicy.
Service was fast and efficient, if you're wanting fish or seafood this is the place to go. Seriously.

Entered and was promptly greeted with an upbeat hello and seated by the window. Our server Brianna was easy going, happy and had a friendly mood. When I informed her that I did not want coleslaw with my Joey's Fish and Chips, she was quick to offer me different options.
I ended up with Joey's Famous Fish and Chips with Caesar Salad.
The food came out fresh fried and hot! The batter or the fish stayed on and didn't crumble off the fish. The tartar dip was good, a bit bland but still acceptable. I'm sure it's probably just canned not handmade since this is a big box food spot.
Definitely would come here again. Monday after work was great as there was no crowd and the food came out awesome and fresh. No long sit time between order and food presentation. The fish was perfect and the service from Brianna was fantastic.
