The Albert at Bay Suite Hotel

Quite a large suite with 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and balcony. Housekeeping service and room cleanliness is good. Nice location and easily walkable to a lot of the popular sites but not very close to any grocery stores without driving. Got a great rate and I would definitely stay here again. My room did have a strong body odour smell that I had to air out but was gone by the second night, so maybe the previous guest was smelly. It was late when I got back from walking around so I didn't bring it up with the hotel because I was too tired to think about moving rooms. I'm sure they would have corrected the issue if I'd brought it up. They also have apples in the lobby which was great for me when I was heading out in the mornings.

This place is the best place to stay in the downtown Ottawa area. It's an all suite hotel that offers all sorts of amenities. The suites are clean and well appointed. I have stayed here multiple times and is currently my go to hotel in Ottawa. Highly recommend this place.

Conveniently located close to downtown, the suites are spacious. It will be great if it was more up to update (some areas of the rooms need a bit more care). Make sure you ask for a room not facing Albert Street, to avoid traffic sounds. If bringing a car, make sure the price includes parking, as it's very expensive otherwise ($23 a day)

Amazing and VERY clean hotel! It's a former apartment building so we got a full size 1 apartment and the balcony offered me great views of downtown Ottawa and Gatineau Hills in the horizon. This is perfect for larger families as the couches are also pullout beds. The full size kitchen with dining gives people a chance to save some money on breakfast, or all your meals if you don't mind cook long on vacation. Check out Farm Boy supermarket to pick up a few items.

Also, It's a great central location and walking distance to Parliament along with many museums, restaurants, bars and park. My girlfriend and I will most certainly stay at this hotel every time we come to Ottawa.

As soon as we entered the lobby, the workers greeted us with a smile. The lobby staff were extremely helpful and quick in getting us checked-in. The lobby was clean and well kept. When we had a question about nearby places the hotel staff walked us through many options and I could tell that they genuinely wanted to help. Our room was very clean and it was clear that the staff take great care to ensure the cleanliness. I have never been at a hotel where they offered as much space as the Albert on Bay! Although my stay was only for a night, I will definitely be returning to the Albert at Bay when I am in Ottawa.
