One of the drivers hit my open car door while driving recklessly down a quiet street at 3pm on a quiet Monday afternoon and then showed ZERO remorse.
I was standing in the street adjusting a carseat for a child to sit in (in front of his school), with my door open, he hit my door and then backed up causing the door to close on my leg. I was parked very close to the sidewalk, there were barely any cars driving around, and very few cars parked on either side of the street. Why he had to drive that close to my car, close enough to hit my door (and me!), baffles me.
Worst of all was his reaction to hitting my car. He yelled at me asking why I was there! As if I shouldn't have been! He did not apologize or ask if I was ok. I told him he hurt me and that he should be saying sorry but instead he talked of insurance and asked what the big deal was because I was so upset. All I wanted was for him to be a decent human being and say "sorry/ are you ok?" He refused several times. He had his attention on blaming me, on asking why I didn't speak in French, and on the fact that we both have insurance... He didn't care that he could have really hurt me or a child, for that matter. He was not remorseful or apologetic for hurting me and damaging my car and didn't see "what the big deal was". He taunted me with "why don't you call the police then?" And so I did just that!
I believe, had I not taken photos of his car and plates, he would have driven off.
This joke of a man/ driver should be fired. This behaviour does not go well with the service industry. I have used Champlain taxi all my life but will no longer.

ZERO STARS. I called at midnight to get to an emergency room and asked for a taxi to be in front in 10 minutes. I was told "Call back when you're actually ready". Baffled, I asked "i'm not feeling well, this is a hospital trip and I'm not sure why you simply can't be in front in 10 min." The answer I got was: "Ok, Thank you!" (with an "FU" tone) and he hung up. A complete hillbilly type of customer service. Called Taxi Coop and got to the hospital with no fuss.

Called for a taxi, I was in a hurry. It came in literally 3 minutes. I was worried reading these reviews, but they were so fast. The woman on the dispatch phone was so nice and extremely helpful! Highly recommend!

Been waiting over 30 minutes for a taxi to pick up me and my very elderly grandmother. Have called 3 times already, the customer service was rude and seemed uninterested. My grandmother has been a loyal customer to this company for years and always over tips but i can assure you that we will never be calling Champlain Taxi again.
