Went on a Sunday afternoon. Acceptable service, average food (although they seemed to be out of so many different things it felt like the menu was half of what it should have been), but the great thing about this place is the rooftop patio that overlooks the market and downtown. The icing on the proverbial cake for us was that the air show over fort Henry was taking place while we were eating so we got great seats to that show as well!

Today was not the best for Jack Astor's. A group of friends decided to go out and dine here. The menu was out of a lot of options. Appetizers only two options were available. I tried ordering the Phad Thai bowl however they were out. I ordered a second option Chicken Parmesean and again they were out. I felt awkward stuck with the menu while the waitress was waiting to take my order last. Made a blind pasta choice.

Bar service was great. Food was standard pub fare. But the signature mixed drinks were totally off. The combinations just don't mix well. And the huge fish bowl drinks are visually appealing but after the first 5 minutes the ice has diluted the drink to the point it was undrinkable. Great atmosphere! Great vibe and top floor is where the fun is located. Will return but wont be ordering mixed drinks.

The people working here are grumpy and short with people, service wasn't very fast, nor was there updates on the arrival of the food. I've been to plenty of Jack Asstors, so I am familiar with their higher level of service, this restaurant didn't give me the usual level of service. It didn't seem understaffed, there just seemed to be a lack of engagement and urgency.
The food was great though. Delicious as usual.
The people working here are grumpy and short with people, service wasn't very fast, nor was there updates on the arrival of the food. I've been to plenty of Jack Asstors, so I am familiar with their higher level of service, this restaurant didn't give me the usual level of service. It didn't seem understaffed, there just seemed to be a lack of engagement and urgency.
The food was great though. Delicious as usual.

Took my parents here for their first Jack Astor's experience and we were not disappointed. Having been to a few Jack Astor's locations now, this has by far been the best. The rooftop patio had an incredible atmosphere. We were seated in the sun first which was way too hot on a +30 day, and the staff quickly moved us to a shaded table as soon as one was made available. The food was excellent (as always). My only frustration was that there are limited options for vegans/vegetarians, although they do have the option to swap out your protein for tofu.
