Great food, decent ambiance, excellent wait staff. Live music on Fridays in the summer.

Another wonderful lunch at the Fireside, the best lunch in town and at a very good price, good service and seating that allows some privacy of conversation.

I want to rate the Fireside higher as the food quality is high and the offerings unique. When my partner and I went there over a year the service was professional: attentive but not intrusive. Here comes the "but"... Tonight we decided to stop in for appetizers and drinks. The waitress committed to giving us water and menus. We would wait at least 25 minutes for the water, which never came. Meanwhile the waitress made several trips to our area on the patio to serve the needs of every other customer with quickness... We decided after all to leave as we could see what was coming (or not!) for the duration of our time there. Perhaps our younger age and not being a rocky mountain rail tour tourist or at least rich looking older folks was on the mind of our waitress? We certainly would have paid a nice tip. Perhaps a one off but my boyfriend also recently went there with a friend and had a similar experience... Such a shame as the food is so good!

I treated my Dad and his wife to Father's Day dinner last night. This is what my Dad wrote to me when I asked him how it was. "Excellent salad and dressing to start. Steak was great and different texture than grain fed; nice portion and very nice flavour. The ambience was fairly formal with a western flair. A very fine gift!"

I went with my fiance last night for dessert and wine, and the overall experience was great. The desserts were absolutely delicious, we split the pumpkin spice creme brulee and the other was some sort of chocolate torte (cant remember the name), it was incredible either way! The wine's were delicious, and my fiance loved the wine our waitress recommended to her. The live performance was entertaining and fit the atmosphere very well.
We would definitely consider going again, and hopefully to try out the dinner next!
