For a great many years, I was a patient of Doctor John McKenna, a partner in the practice that was sold to Altima a few years ago. Dr. McKenna recently retired, but from an overall satisfaction standpoint, nothing has changed and I remain totally satisfied with the service, care and treatment extended by those currently looking after me at Altima!

I went to the Altima Dental centre in Hamilton in Dec 2015, doctors and stuff are nice and friendly in general, but they tend to give patients incorrect info which leads to unexpected bills in your mailbox.
They recommended me to do teeth fillings last time and I told them to send a quote to my insurance company to make sure it is 100% covered since I don't want to pay from my own pocket. They did that, I got the quote from insurance company and brought it to them. I double checked with them telling them that I don't want to pay any money and they told me not to worry and it is 100% covered and made copy of that quote to put into my portfolio.
I filled 3 teeth with them and one month later I received a bill from them because now they say it is NOT 100% covered by the insurance company. Well I explicitly double checked with you TWICE before filling my teeth and the answer was yes it is 100% covered.
Phoned the front desk lady twice, she refused to admit that it was a mistake made by their stuff and refused to do anything to the cheque. I'm very disappointed at this dental centre because of their lack of sense of responsibility.
Please avoid this place if you do not want any unexpected bill from them......

This not an amazing dental office, the secretaries are blunt and pushy and the doctors always seem disinterested. The only saving grace is the hygienists who are friendly and accommodating. Be careful if life happens, miss an appointment and be prepared to pay. The wait times are horrible as well, very rarely get you in on time.

This place is amazing, They simply don't have anything but A-one staff members. I have always been treated with dignity and respect. Over the years they have gently turned me around from a person who was terrified of dental procedures, to having all of my old fillings replaced and crowns fitted. Even when my teeth were uncooperative, they didn't give up on me. Two thumbs up.
