This is the very best vet office in the city and I happen to be convinced that our family was blessed by getting one of the best version in the world for our puppy! Dr. Lam is very knowledgeable and approachable when dealing with our dog. We had an incident in Calgary with our puppy and she took the time to read the notes sent from the Calgary office and follow up with our family and pup. Our dog LOVES going to the vet and is always exstatic to see Dr. Lam. We are so thankful for the Riverbend clinic and staff!

Outstanding! We deal with Dr. Bear whenever possible, but also Dr. Gordie. They are kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. They have taken ample time with us on every visit to ensure a thorough examination and explain everything. Most importantly, to me at least, they never push unnecessary procedures on us. We switched from another south side clinic 7 years ago when we got our new dog because we were dissatisfied with the old clinic, and the difference has been like night and day. Highly recommended.

I adopted my dog on May 2016 and I hadn't any experience on dog training. I appreciate Dr. Lam because she always answer my questions with a lot patience. Why patience? Last year I asked her to write her advise because my English is not good and she did.
Also I appreciate for lovely staff. They are all polite and have a nice behavior to me.

I'm not a person to write reviews however, I have never been so disappointed. I adopted two rescue dogs. They were brought to this vet under their K9 numbers and number the rescue agencies name. When they were officially adopted, I advised the staff here of this upon a follow up appointment. On that last visit here, Dr. Lam told me that because I have a child and a puppy (who she saw once, the second time he was under for surgery) that nipped, that I need to fix that because shes put dogs under for less than biting children. 1. You haven't touched him (p.s He never bite once... because we worked on it..) and she had seen him once. Also, she hates animals. Why are you vet?
Fast forward to now. I switched vets and needed my dogs shot certificates. I call Riverbend. They cannot find any information except the one visit from when we adopted them. I was on the phone with them from 11am until 5:30pm. Turns out, they found their files under their previous names (why were they separated?...) and one of my dogs got all his shots. The other. Got her first round of booster shots and that is all... Who doesn't tell an owner their dog is missing shots. Is that not your job?
The lady on the phone proceeded to yell at me and kept talking over me when I asked questions. She told me I was "rude" when I asked why they weren't given. This place is a joke and if you want to put your animals life at risk ( I.E My dog was running around with no rabies shots. We go out in the trails...) then go here. You will be threatened, not be advised of your animals info and told you are rude when you ask why they didn't do the job they are paid to do.
I'm now with Park Vet in Sherwood Park. They were nothing but fabulous to me and gave me lots of information about shots. What they are called, what they do, etc.
Riverbend needs to train their employees and teach them the importance of keeping documents in order.
