After a terrible experience at West Edmonton Animal Hospital (best thing they did was turn me away to Guardian) half hour before closing with an emergency, I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled to have attentive front staff, a sweet vet tech and a gracious Dr. It was expensive, but it was also late night. I will always return to this clinic for any further animal emergencies. I have a ridiculous amount of Critters, your loss WEAC, I’ve a new set of pet heroes who want our business.

In March of 2017, my chihuahua was having trouble breathing and our regular vet was having difficulty determining the cause. She referred me to Guardian who were able to diagnose him almost immediately and luckily he was able to have surgery the next day. They type of surgery he had requires frequent follow-ups and each time I am pleased with the staff and the vet/surgeon, Dr. Sarah Flint. Her and her assistant have been very kind each time my pup and I have visited.
A month after my chihuahua's surgery, our other dog was unable to walk and again, we found ourselves being referred to Guardian. Dr. Lindsay Kurich was not only helpful in diagnosing the problem, she was also very sympathetic and kind when we learned that our dog had a terminal illness. We truly felt like she cared and gave us lots of information about his condition.
Unfortunately, last week we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog but the vet (I'm sorry, I don't recall her name) was very compassionate and walked us through the process. It was one of the worst days of our lives but we felt that the staff and vet were above and beyond compassionate and for that we are grateful.
Yes, the prices are expensive but at the end of the day they are the best at what they do and I feel like it's well worth the cost.
Thanks again to all of the wonderful staff at Guardian. My husband and I appreciate everything you've done for us and our fur family.

Guardian has been very helpful with our after hours pet emergencies. When our cat needed to pass on, they were very helpful and compassionate as well. Costs were only slightly above our "regular hours" vet, for the care we received.

After finding an injured cat in a back alley we rushed it to this vet as it was closest. We were asked to fill out a form with all of our information which was fine. Then when we asked if we could be called to let us know if the cat was fine or not we got a really snotty response "no, we don't do that!"
If that is a policy for some reason maybe explain that so people understand and not be so snotty and rude when people are genuinely worried and concerned about an animal.

Guardian saved my dog's life. After being misdiagnosed by our daytime vet, our Yorkie went severely downhill within a week. We rushed him to Guardian where they diagnosed him properly and treated him with blood transfusions and meds.
We now have our spunky little Yorkie back and we owe it to the excellent service of Guardian. Their staff was compassionate and kept us well informed. I highly recommend them.
