Not a bad Burger joint. I showed up with a colleague for a late lunch (3pm. If you can call that lunch.) so the rush was over and we got our food at a very reasonable time. Service was good and hit all the points.
What made me sad was that they stopped offering the "Build your own Burger." Since that was what made this place unique to me, I didn't mind spending the extra money for some of the toppings to make a $20 Burger. Now it just feels like an expensive Burger joint that can charge since it's downtown.
I'm not going to avoid the place, but I probably won't be craving it either. I think it's an okay place which Google tells me is 3/5.

Went to the Burg with a group of 8 coworkers on a Friday lunch to take part in Edmonton's Downtown Dining Week. Food was good, but the service was the worst I've ever experienced from any restaurant I've ever been to. We all ordered from the Downtown Dining menu so it should have been relatively quick service. It took over an hour just to receive our food. It was fairly busy, so I understand that the kitchen could have been backed up. The worst part was that our server didn't once come back to our table to refill waters or let us know what the wait was due to or anything. Also, I went to talk to the manager and asked to talk to him about what the holdup was about. He wouldn't talk to me. Lastly, when we were paying at the end, a colleague had the receipt thrown at her face by the waitress. I understand that customer service is tough and that the kitchen backup is not our waitress' (or manager's fault), however it was the way the staff dealt with this issue; so poorly and with so much sass towards us. That is what bothered me the most. This is the first and last time I'm going to the Burg.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The food on the other hand didn't impress me. This had a Robins Burgers feel to the menu. Quality of beef and ingredients wasn't there for me. Hard 3 star rating.

This place is a solid 5/5 of I've ever seen one! There was literally nothing to complain about!
Decor, service, drinks, food quality and portion size, atmosphere in place, all oozed quality every step of the way... All without costing an arm and a leg.
In a downtown filled with trendy spots that try and serve you a half portion for twice the price, this place stood out head and shoulders above with a filling meal and great experience.
Must go back next time downtown!

This was my first time at The Burg. I was dining alone and sat at the bar. I'm not a big eater and when I looked at the menu everything was full orders. So I asked my server if there was any way they could do a small combo of some sort "not a problem". That's the kind of service I like ,great accommodating staff, great food and reasonably priced.
