When my boyfriend and I's new puppy was having stomach issues (diarrhea constantly) we immediately took him to Dr.Klein. She did an exam, and suggested we put him on a extremely expensive food for sensitive stomachs. After weeks being on the food, there was still no change, so we brought him in again, still she said to keep with it. After about 6 vet visits nothing was helping.I went to the dog food store, and they suggested a limited ingredient food. Not wanting to just switch without my vets advise, I called them and they told me not to switch it to that, and that it most likely would not help. I did it anyways, and the first day he completely did a 180. He was not having diarrhea anymore, he was more energetic, and he in general just seemed happier. Since then he has not had anything with wheat or soy, and we have had no problems since. They charge an $80 fee to even walk in the door, which is extreme considering I've called around and most are $45.
All in all, I would chose a different vet if you are currently looking.
Although Dr. Klein and her staff are extremely nice and caring, I believe they would rather have you spend money than give you a cheaper, better alternative.
