I moved to here after staying at a bigger hostel due to it being full when I tried to extend. I actually preferred this one. The non bunk beds were a big plus and it had excellent staff who go out of their way to ensure guests have a great stay.

This was one of the worst experiences that I've ever had. The sleeping conditions were terrible and the bathrooms were cramped and rarely (if ever) had any warm water. It was usually unbearably noisy and you couldn't get any sleep. And in the short instances that I could get some sleep I was often woken up by the squeakiness of the beds. The traffic noise didn't help either.
There are some good things about it, like the guy working the front desk was really friendly but only one of the guys, the other guy never seemed to be happy with any thing we did and constantly meddled with the sleeping arraignments causing us great inconvenience.
The kitchen seemed to have never been cleaned properly and the overall hygiene level was sub par.
I've given it two stars, because it could have been a lot worse but that's no excuse to go there when soon after that I found out that there are much better places in the city and even for less money.

Great hostel in a great location. Amazing and helpful staff + great connections to similarly awesome hostels in Plovdiv and Veliko Tarnovo.
