Opulent lobby in a historic building with friendly staff. Clearly showing signs of age, very little in room facilities. Eg. AC

Pathetic hotel, stayed here for a week. It was 2:30 pm when I tried to check-in and the room was not ready and I had to wait 30 minutes. Then, they allotted a room where the Wi-Fi signal wouldn't reach. Upon complaining, they changed the room and things were ok. Next night, there was no internet and the third night, the A.C. wouldn't work because they were supposedly on some seasonal schedule. To top this off, completely indifferent staff who basically said there was no issue.

Complete let down as an spg property.

Great location. Near plenty restaurants and attractions. Modern,clean and feels safe.
Beautiful architecture, great food at reasonable price. We loved Sophia.

I stayed here a while ago and wanted to give this hotel another try. I was very impressed. The staff are very professional. The rooms have been updated while still raining that old world charm (I am not a great fan of the style, but it is done well). I think currently this is the top value for the money in terms of high end business girl in Sofia. Obviously the location is killer. Breakfast is good.

As for cons - the gym is there... But it is more of an afterthought although it is well appointed with equipment. The parking in the front is apparently run by the municipality, so the staff is sometimes not all that professional... Overall - easy 5 stars.

Excellent hotel. My partner booked this as a surprise birthday getaway and it was a fantastic present. The room and building are of high quality, feeling very luxurious. The location is great for roaming around Sofia with access to pretty much everything you'd want.

The concierge was especially helpful, ordering us safe taxis as we couldn't due to the language barrier.

I can't comment on the price as it was a gift but I'm told it's very reasonable. Highly recommended.
