The location, historical value and architecture alone are worth 4 stars. Almost in the middle of nowhere you'll find this ancient monastery, now used as hotel, seminar, party location. The rooms in the 'Schuur' location are outdated though and could use some freshening up.

Great hotel. The staff were responsive to our emails before we booked. The buildings are lovely. Our room (family room with space for 6!) wasn't city chic quality but we didn't expect that so it was fine - it was very spacious, clean and modern enough. The breakfast was great. We went for a walk in the ground and played on some of the outdoor pursuits equipment (we probably weren't meant to but it was there...!) which was an added bonus!
