Nestled among other cafés and restaurants on a square in the centre of Mechelen. Nice patio to drink your coffee in the morning sun (the restaurants on the other side get the afternoon sun).
Had the "Mechelen Coucou" for lunch: chicken stuffed with some cheese, green pea mousse and mashed potatoes with walnuts and more. Comes with a sauce that I asked to hold as I'm avoiding gluten. It was good, without going to great. The green pea mousse was a great surprise though.
Excellent service, with a good espresso and some kind of creamy desert (lots of egg, sugar, some Spanish liqueur, etc): a little strong to my taste, but good when mixed with the vanilla ice cream.

I had a great lunch and loved the friendly service.
If I could change one thing, it would be the temperature of the room, I found it a bit chilly.
