This is an interesting hotel. Some mixed thoughts about it really. My room was in the part of the hotel where the rooms are quite contemporary. Rather industrial. With open ceilings exposing beams and all the things that are usually hidden away. Still not sure if I like it. The hotel was a tobacco factory in days gone by and they've kept various pieces of machinery around the place. Quite interesting really. The bathroom was very exposed to the main room (no door). This is ok as a single occupant but wouldn't like the if I was there with my partner. (I spoke to the receptionist about that who said they only put single guests in those rooms). Lovely location, right by the canal. I was only there one night and arrived late but I will go back in the summer and explore the surrounding area. Parking was a bit complicated though. The GPS took me right to the hotel front but the parking is the other side if the canal. A but tricky to get there. . Breakfast was ok. Perfectly adequate and the staff I meet really nice. Overall, nice place.
Update: Stayed again in early August. Same room. Lovely town.

Great location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and interesting architectural history to the building. Comfy beds too!

Because it is a rip-off and I got cheated out of my money when leaving. No view from my window, had to ask repeatedly for the complimentary bottle of "champagne" they promised before I got a bottle of cheap Spanish freixenet. The breakfast buffet is well stocked though.

A hotel with a cool industrial style and an amazing location. The rooms look great but the climate control in the hotel was poor and the mini refrigerator didn't work and they couldn't fix it during my 2 nights stay.
