Sadly half of the museum was closed so the viewing was rather limited. However very interesting restoration of the alter piece of the adoration of the lamb was worth the visit alone.

Nice museum with a decent collection of arts, particularly Van Eck. Also had a cool display on how they restore artworks.

Museum is located not far from railway station, so if you have chosen to walk toward the city center of Ghent you can make a stop for a few hours. There is also another museum just opposite the street, and to attend them both I think you need as least half-of the day.
The collections is good especially if you appreciate dutch style of painting. they also have some interactive modern activities there, so you won't be bored.
