Wife enjoyed her pot of mussels in a white cream sauce. Says best she's ever had. I had a delicious shrimp scampi (~7 or so medium shrimp in scampi sauce) as appetizer and had penne pasta in a light tomato sauce with parmesan for my entree. With two glasses of wine we spent about 72 euros and left a 10 euro tip for the staff for great service and recommendations.

Good food at too high prices. At this budget I prefer Parkside or Maison du Luxembourg

Disappointed. Steak served cold and with a toy knife. Wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't so expensive

A fine brasserie in Jourdain with good service, good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Having researched the brasseries in Jourdain, L'Espirit de Sel seemed a good option and, in the mood for some classic Belgian steak frites, I wasn't disappointed. The waiter (Richard) was extremely helpful in selecting a good wine, and the steak frites I ordered (with a non-traditional but tasty garlic sauce) were great. I think some of the reviews here a little harsh - my experience was extremely positive and given that my meal came to a total of €27 - including wine - I think this place offers great value for a money, and a solid brasserie experience.
