Delicious, but small portions! A friend told me about his favourite Italian restaurant: the "Vitello" op "het Eilandje". as he made us curious and that we were planning a dinner with the entire circle of friends, we booked at the Vitello. While ordering, the prices seems to be correct. A more than correct service and some nice suggestions. The starter was delicious. When the main course was served, we all were a bit disappointed. The portions were really small, except for the pasta plates which were correct. But the meat and the fish were so poorly served that it made the dish quite expensive. (The first person to be served even received the question: " oh, you ordered a second starter") The taste was wonderful, but a few people left the restaurant still hungry. If you like fine cuisine and are a little eater, this is the place to be for you; In case you have a normal appetite or even prefer bigger portions, I suggest to look for another place or to restrict your choice to pasta. BTW: The restaurant is located at the verbindngsdoc, right between the Kattendijkdok and the Willemdok. We were lucky to see a beautifull boat pass by while eating.
