3rd visit in the past year (only because other local hotels have been full and I've had to stay in Brussels for business) and things have far from improved. On my most recent visit, all the surfaces in the room including the Bed were covered in film of dust. Room obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Complained and member of staff couldn't even change the bedclothes, just came up with a towel and swatted the bed, so all the dust was left to circulate in the air in the room in which I'm supposed to sleep! Said I couldn't change rooms because the Hotel was full. I insisted on at least a change of duvet cover, which the Receptionist reluctantly gave me, but told me to change it myself because he had work to do downstairs and there was no one else on Reception! He eventually came up and changed it but huffed and puffed the whole time and even told me I "talk too much" when I explained why I thought it was unreasonable that he should ask me to change the duvet myself when the room was charged at over €160 for one night and was so dirty!
The shower was also a very tiny cubicle - I'm extremely petite and couldn't turn in it. The shower also dripped constantly after use. Definitely not worth the high price and think they are just taking advantage of the demand for accommodation in the area.
Edit: in fairness the Manager was very apologetic in the morning and I got a full refund, however it doesn't take away from the rudeness I experienced from the night staff and was of little comfort after a sleepless night. Someone at work the next day even asked if I'd been at karaoke the night before because my voice was so rough from inhaling the dust!

Overall, it's not too bad, but definitely is not very good value for the money even considering the good location. Nice reception staff. Quality/decoration vary a lot from room to room.

It's a place to rest your head. The elevator is a bit worrying. It's about ten minutes from Grande Place so quite convenient. Great if you're on a budget.

Location is perfect. It has clean rooms and a lovely lounge. Additionally breakfast is not included to room price but not important. Brussals has a wide range of dilicious patisseries and bakeries. I would recommend this place.
