I think some of the reviews are a bit harsh. Yes it is very cheesy but the food and atmosphere are pretty good. I'm sure I still owe the musicians a tip for a really frantic medley of British pop songs in which the fiddler snapped his bow. You don't get that at Figmuller

Alright, for all the tourists: you will rarely find native Viennese here. Why? First: too many tourists. The place is nice and cool in summer, but cold and draughty in winter. The food is good, but not great, and the portions are sub-standard for the expenses. Read: you pay a lot for a little food.

Also, the place is booked even on off-season weeknights, and getting a group bigger than four in without booking is nearly impossible. The service is actually not bad as such - it just seems that there are too many guests for too little personnel, meaning that the wait times between ordering, serving and getting the check are atrocious.

So, should you go there? If you are a tourist, don't care for wait time and money, want to tip musicians that play the Danube Waltz and "Wiener Blut" over and over, and are not too hungry, by all means, go there. If you want to have more (and better) food for the same amount or less, go somewhere else.

I found the food meh (the sausage and egg was the only thing I could swallow out of the beef goulash) and the dessert was nothing splendid (cheese strudel was just cheese cake wrapped in more flour) service is ok, rest rooms cost 0.50 euro, water is not free. Place looks cool though.

Great atmosphere, great food and great service! We found this place randomly and could not have been more pleased. Very authentic 😊

Really loved this place, don't be out off trying to find your way in! You need to head down some stairs which look like the entrance to some flats...

Great Austrian food, delicious schnitzel and strudel. Good beer and wine selection! Live accordian and violin music... Very friendly service and an English menu available... Recommended!
