Came in to get my ankle fixed - thought it would be a pretty straight forward deal ... (here'e me stupidly thinking physios and ankle injuries go hand-in-hand) Buuuuuut for some reason the physio decided to fix my ankle by giving me acupuncture on my 'back', not my ankle? (I was cool with it though, she is the professional here... so I let her do her thing). After all the needles are in, the physio puts headphones on me, which has a creepy dude talking about 'chakrahs' and the colours of these 'chakrahs' and what these colours represent etc etc (at this point I'm staaaarting to question this - "holistic" ankle fixing witchery)... throughout the "relaxation" tape I can hear the physio start a really loud hypnotherapy session with her next client - whilst i'm still just chilling, with all of the needles, having a 'pearler' of a time. Eventually the creepy dude on tape finishes his spiel (or more then likely the cassette needed to be turned over) now there's just silence, needle pain, and a loud hypnotherapy session to entertain me - needless to say, I start to get uncomfortable and really bored. I start wondering what to do cause there's no sign of the physio returning to check up on me.... so I awkwardly call out, to see where the truck everyone is, and the (I wanna say receptionist?) comes in, and she (not the physio) proceeds to take the needles out...which i thought was pretty weird? I then leave never seeing the phyiso again, with $75 less and my ankle not being touched....but at least now, I can tell my friends what colour my 3rd chakrah is .... yellow, it's yellow. So there's that.

I have nothing but the highest regard for Lesley Nicholson and her physio practice, which has been in operation for many years. She is a kind and caring physiotherapist with the benefit of a wholistic approach. It is a different type of practice, and sets itself apart from others with its relaxing and non-judgemental atmosphere. Her wide range of skills is evident in her treatment style. I would encourage anyone who needs a physiotherapist to make an appointment with this clinic.

I feel compelled to write this review after reading the inaccurate review by Laura Blink, I would be very surprised if this person had actually ever attended the practice.
I have been a patient for some years now, and have required more than just normal physio. After joint replacements I had received exceptional care, even personal hydro therpy sessions this aided and shortened my recovery period. Over the years I have needed ultra sound, interferential, acupuncture, and hands on treatments all provided in a relaxed and caring atmosphere. The practice has a professional and warm feeling and I feel the little extras, of relaxation tapes, oil burners, and beautiful tranquil music make for a holistic setting when you need pain relief.
Lesley and Sue make a great team, professional at all times.
I have no hesistation when I recommend this physio to family and friends this really is the best physio.

If I need physio treatment the first place I head is Central Wollongong Physio Plus. Lesley is an amazing healer!! The practice is run very professionally, the staff are wonderful and very caring. It is only physio practice that I know of that warms up the ultrasound lotion and offers relaxation CDs, you come out feeling so relaxed. I would recommend Central Wollongong Physio Plus with out hesitation. So if you are in need of pain relief or nutritional advise, or any of the many other treatments that are on offer, Lesley Nicholson is the person to see!!

This is a great place to go to get all your needs met. I have been treated for several ailments here. I have had acupuncture, physiotherapy and diet advice. A couple of years ago I fractured my cheekbone and the care I received was wonderful. The staff are caring and lovely and I find the atmosphere very relaxing. I prefer this type of place as sports physio clinics can be a little sterile. Highly recommended.
