Nice little bar/restaurant serving tapas style Japanese food. Food is decent with a modern twist to traditional flavour. I would recommend order a few small plates / sushi dishes to share. Drinks are expensive though, hence only 4/5 stars.

Avarage in pretty much every sense: boring menu, not much cooking and way too much buthane torching... Erskinville and Newtown badly need some good traditional Japanese restaurants.

We wanted to like this place so badly, having moved into the area and loving the idea of having a great local Japanese. We couldn't have been more let down.
The venue is dated, especially with an exposed ceiling over the kitchen, however the biggest concern was the food.
It was really overpriced, with a very underwhelming and not so fresh 'large' sashimi plate @ $28 and three of the smallest Lamb Cutlets you will ever see @$29. The gyozas were cold inside and the calamari was just oily.
+ A glass of wine each and it was over $100.
We went home and had toast, both still being hungry.
Needless to say, won't ever go back.
