I always see a queue outside this restaurant so I thought I give it a try. I waited 30mins in line for a table. You first choose a soup base, either hot and spicy or normal soup or you can have a combination of both. You then can go out and pick the food you like to be placed in the hotpot. The price is based on the number of sticks you had in the end. The hot and spicy soup base is very tasty and is the one I prefer. The chuansticks I think is a bit of a gimmick and some of the prices are quite expensive, for example, the sticks work out to be roughly $0.80 and the vegetables and the meat sticks are the same price so a stick of two pieces of potato I think is not worth the same as two pieces of meat. Anyhow, we had a good time and the chuansticks were fun.

The food is delicious with very fresh vegetables and premium quality meat. Although it's a new restaurant, success is evident via continued long queues day in day out. We went there a few times over the past month and certainty enjoyed the food very much. Highly recommended especially to those who loves authentic Sichuan food.

Hot pot with skewers? At first I thought it was for people who can't use chopsticks to get their meat out of the soup, but then I got the lowdown from my helpful Chinese-foodie friend that it's a Sichuan thing! Hell, this I gotta see.

Good thing i liked about is that I got to pick the types of meat that I was familiar with without my friends having to worry if I'd be okay to have chicken feet - 😨. I went to town on the quail eggs and when it came to tallying up the amount of skewers (150 skewers between four people) it worked out to be the same as any other hot pot restaurants that I've been dragged to - except I got to eat what I wanted.🖒

Would recommend this place for people looking to try out spicy Sichuan food with a small group of friends. Definitely be going there soon!

Most authentic and yummy hotpot I had in Sydney. The staffs were super friendly and helpful to my 1 year old boy. Great food, fantastic service and baby friendly! Highly recommend!

Over priced hot pot with skewers!! Maybe it's gimmicky... each skewer cost 80cents. There is one morsel of meat on each skewer and even worse, it is the same for the vegetables - you can select to eat one branch of cauliflower for 80cents. Pretty sure I can buy a whole kilo of them for $2.50. Just insane prices! What's more, one of the skewers is just one slice of pure chicken skin and there was another with the tip of the chicken wing (the part most people usually discard) - also 80cents per skewer... who would eat this!! Had to fill myself up with 2 small plates of noodles ($5 something each ). Not sure why there's a line - definitely first and last time!!
